Studio61 is a co-operative made of people who…
are friends, neighbours, colleagues
into all sorts of things - art, music, design, climate action, community energy, urban greening, technology, community organising... and more.
Our studio door is always open to new friends, collaborators and perspectives.
We think that bringing people together in creative, unexpected ways leads to the most meaningful, interesting ideas and projects.

With "Parties with Purpose" we combine music, words and co-created art to make us think differently about challenges and solutions to social issues. Our first was "The Huge Reggae Show for Energy Justice" held at Ridley Road Social Club in November 2022. It was amazing and we're already thinking about the next one for Spring… get in touch if you would like to get involved.
At "PowerPoint Thursdays" we use the PowerPoint format to talk about everything - from foam footwear to apples, sex positivity to 16th century paintings, saunas to tennis players, and much more. Sometimes an amazing thing happen and from a PowerPoint emerges a collective - recently we welcomed Sluts Incorporated and the Foam Footwear Collective to our "collective of collectives".
Other projects we currently work on include…
Designing a marketing and communication strategy for a communal living project in Burgundy
Conducting a cultural analysis of Boomtown festival
Teaching courses on creative industries and coding for community organizing
Writing about cultural intelligence, digital technologies, the history of science management, the role of innovation and design in museums…
